  1. Multi Year journals

I was wondering whether we could look into a feature that allows for journals to be implemented through prior years? This would make things particularly more effective when it comes to multi year audits

  3. Requests auto follow-up

Some clients are particularly bad at responding to requests. An auto follow-up of requests would be useful. If not responded to after the initial follow-up then a more urgently worded follow-up could be sent.

  4. Cross-referencing between grouped clients

If two clients are in the same group, then having the ability to cross reference to something in another grouped client.

  5. E1 Risk assessment

Please retain draft amounts in CY and not the adjusted amount. Obviously when E or risk assessment is done, fieldwork is not done yet and therefore the comments there regarding the amount of the increase or decrease is based on draft accounts. If you put the adjusted amount, the comments become misleading.

  6. Tag and Preview Evidence for Sample Testing

Allow the Auditor to highlight/tag the specific evidence relied upon when marking a test Pass, Fail or N/A. Evidence could be from a PDF, Word document, email or other supporting document. The Auditor should be able to tag multiple pieces of evidence to the same test by highlighting or drawing a box, including different sections of the same document and evidence from different documents. When the Reviewer/Auditor hovers over the test result, Audit Assistant should display previews of all images marked up as evidence, showing the relevant highlighted sections. The Reviewer should also be able to click a preview to open the source document directly at the relevant location. For example, when testing authority for a family trust transaction, the Auditor might tag: page 1 of the trust deed identifying the trustees; page 5 showing the trustees' relevant powers; and an email from trustees providing authority for the specific transaction. All three parts should be linked to the test and displayed when the Reviewer/Auditor hovers over the test outcome. Benefit: This would create a clear link between the test result and the evidence relied upon, making testing easier and faster to review without requiring the Reviewer to search through the underlying documents.

  7. Would the ability to upload an entire folder as an attachment be useful?

We now have the ability for our users to upload multiple attachments at the same time, however a user has suggested it would be useful to upload an entire folder as well. Would others find this feature helpful?

  8. Prior year comments would be ideal if they are highlighted in grey or other darker shades if not yet brought forwarded

Prior year comments would be ideal if they are highlighted in grey or other darker shades if not yet brought forwarded to current year to avoid confusion w/ CY comments which are highlighted in green (blue green?)

  9. Mark some attachments as 'permanent'

A user suggested that "permanent" attachments be possible i.e. automatically flag as permanent so they are brought forward without having to tick - for key documents such as trust deeds or constitutions. It would be good to be able to view all these from one tab also.

  10. A way to extend substantive testing to test more items without deleting the existing sample

Raised during training. If a sample is made based on performance materiality of say 20 items, and the sample reveals errors such that it is decided to extend testing to test say another 20 items, how is this possible without deleting the original sample and starting again (which will get rid of all that testing work)?

  11. API to Xero

Most of our audit clients use Xero. Integration with Xero would be the highest priority for us. Imagine being able to: sync a client’s Xero file with an AA file automatically search contacts in Xero for related parties identified sync the trial balance confirm that the opening balances agree to prior year audited closing balances pull in account transactions for cumulative monetary sampling (and for the selected items, pull invoice attachments and metadata of the date approved and by who) send adjustment journals from AA to Xero as draft journals for the client to approve We have a couple of clients that use MYOB AccountRight Live so would be great to do this with MYOB too, but Xero would very much be our priority. 12. Rotating PDF pages when previewing attachments on AA

This would help reviewers significantly as they would no longer need to download the files first, instead they can just use the preview tool and rotate pages as needed.

  13. Assigning sections to staff

When multiple staff members are working on the same audit file, it would be really helpful if a manager could allocate specific sections to each team member. This way, it would be clearly visible within the file who is responsible for each section.

  14. When refreshing page

Hi. When refreshing the page, it seems to go back to the top of the page always when I am already on W section. I want it to just refresh but don't take me to the top.

  15. Permanent Audit Files

Add a permanent file area against each client record for documents that carry over largely unchanged year on year, such as constitutions and rules, trust deeds, registration certificates and signed engagement letters. When attaching a document to an engagement, the upload dialogue should let the user search that permanent file and link an existing document rather than only browsing the local drive. This keeps a single current version of each standing document, and cuts the time spent locating prior-year copies during file setup. It also means the whole engagement team draws on the same source document, which limits the risk of team members working from different or superseded versions.
